Patti Larsen: A Vampire, A Werewolf and an Angel Walk Into A Bar…

I was having a conversation with my dear writing friend, T G Ayer, about the sequel to her new
book. She mentioned she really wanted to include werewolves in it as part of the
plot but was concerned that doing so would be an issue. After all, werewolves
are so done, aren’t they?…

Hope over to Patti’s blog to read the rest of her interesting post… Promise you will enjoy it…

Can’t tell if my comment didn’t take on your friend’s blog, or if I accidentally posted it three time, or what. *wry expression* If it’s the latter, sorry for the inadvertant spam! In the event of the former, I’ll go ahead and reply here. I said…

Absolutely true! Nothing wrong with writing a vampire, so long as it’s *your* vampire. Let him be his own person, give his world it’s own rules. Find inspiration and give it a tweak, or turn it completely on its head. Treat the story like you would any other by writing it the best you can, as *you* as you can, as *itself* as it deserves to be.
And if you feel you’ll go undead yourself if you hear the word “vampire” one more time, by all means, write something else. (:

And I agree- writing from your heart is truly the best option… Love your blog btw 🙂
